Ben Poole - 'Anytime You Need Me'
Album Review
Release Date September 14th 2018
'Anytime You Need Me' was recorded at Superfly Studios in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire and produced by Wayne Proctor. “It was an absolute joy to work again with Wayne,” says Ben. “He has a great ear and knows me well as an artist, and the result is amazing.”
We start off the album with the title track 'Anytime You Need Me', and it's a funky intro into a funky opening track.
'Take It No More' bounds along with a great bluesy beat before we have a much more commercial sound for 'You Could Say'.
'Found Out The Hard Way' slows the mood with a hypnotic beat before we are back in the land of funk again with 'Further Down The Line'.

'Dirty Laundry' is a proper blues/rock pumping track, this shows Ben Poole at his best and is a dirty rock n roll gem of a song.
'Start The Car' keeps the blues/rock vibe going before we have a ballad with 'Don't Cry For Me' with some beautiful guitar edges to add to the sultry vibe.
'Let Me Be' hits straight back with its punchy and funky groove before our final track of the album 'Holding On' which has an almost Allman Brothers start reminiscent of a slowed down 'Whipping Post' or Hendrix with 'Manic Depression'. A very cool track to end a very good album.
This is well worth adding to your collection and another case of the new wave of British Blues being in strong hands.
