Black Stone Cherry

Black To Blues 2

Following on from their 2017 release 'Black To Blues', 'Black To Blues 2' continues the bands homage to the late and greats of the blues.

'Big Legged Woman' kicks us off, which is their take on 'Big Leg Woman(With A Short Short Mini Skirt)' by Israel Tolbert. This is a very funky version and a great way to start volume 2. Next up is 'Me & The Devil Blues', which is a Robert Johnson classic given the BSC touch. Not sure what Robert would have thought of this hard hitting cover, but I love it.

'All Your Love (I Miss Loving)' keeps that sultry feel and sound from the original by Otis Rush, where next we are treated to 'Down In The Bottom', which is taken from the Willie Dixon version of this Howlin' Wolf tune.

Next up to get the BSC treatment is 'Early One Morning' by Elmore James, before we finish with 'Death Letter Blues' by Eddie J 'Son' House jr. This is a Delta Blues classic and Chris and the boys certainly do it justice with this performance.
